Research Study Volunteer Information

Research studies conducted at the BIC are in continual need for volunteers undergo MRI and other scans, sometimes while performing cognitive tasks (e.g. memory challenges, simple math, reading text, etc.). Most participants are reimbursed for their time. If you are interested in volunteering for such a study, please review the list of studies below and contact the researchers directly using the contact information provided. If needed, you will be contacted by a researcher. Please note that the BIC is not a clinical facility, and the scans performed here are not intended to be of diagnostic quality. If you feel that you need an MRI scan to diagnose a medical problem, please contact your primary care physician immediately.

The Preston Lab at The University of Texas at Austin seeks healthy volunteers ages 6-35 to participate in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study of human cognition. Email prestonlab@gmail.com to verify eligibility and to schedule an appointment.

The Church Lab seeks adults ages 18-30 to participate in behavioral and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) studies that reimburse at a variety of rates. Fill out this survey to see if you are eligible for any of them.
